Who Is Danielle Kang’s Boyfriend?
In 2019, Maverick McNealy and Danielle Kang began dating. Kang was ranked fifth in the world at that time, and McNealy was a new PGA Tour pro trying to move up the ranks. The Stanford grad was the best amateur player for a while before he turned pro.

Golf Monthly said that McNealy and Kang met at the Summit Club in Nevada City. In fact, some news sources say that the PGA Tour pro was living in his Florida home with his girlfriend. “He’s a sweetheart,” Kang told Golf Channel. “I have so much respect for him and vice versa.”
Danielle Kang posted a tweet for McNealy when he became a member of the 2019-2020 PGA Tour. She wrote, “Heyy Rookie, welcome to the big leagues, 2019-2020 PGA Tour Member.”
Kang, who is 31 years old, has won six times on the LPGA Tour and finished in the top 10 57 times.“I’m such a baby in professional golf compared to her,” McNealy said about his partner, the LPGA star, at the time. Interestingly, despite two runner-up results, the 28-year-old Professional has yet to enter the winners’ circle.
The two, however, broke up away from the press sometime in 2021. In the same time period, McNealy met his present partner, Maya Daniels, at a physical rehab center. They began dating in early 2023 and just recently got engaged. Kang has kept her personal life very quiet since the breakup, though.
Kang Helped McNealy Reach A Career Milestone
The 2019 Houston Open was Maverick McNealy’s chance to win his first tournament. He and Phil Mickelson share a unique hobby. “Danielle told me three things to do on Sunday,” the PGA Tour pro said after his last round. Kang first told him not to look at the rankings.
McNealy stated that he didn’t do that. Second, he was told to keep his full attention on all of the shots. The Stanford graduate said that he would make 95% of his shots. Last but not least, look for two good things after every shot.
McNealy said after his 7-under 65 at Houston, “It was a very good day out there for me.” With an 8-under 63 at the 2022 John Deere Classic, the PGA Tour pro improved on that score.
