The accident involving Patric Young happened in Nebraska on June 29, 2022, and it was a serious one. The sad event left the former University of Florida basketball star paralyzed below the waist, making it impossible for him to move around without a wheelchair.
Young was paralyzed after the crash because he had such bad spine injuries. The diagnosis said that he might need to use a wheelchair for the rest of his life.
Because of the accident, his T7 and T8 vertebrae were dislocated, which required a long, eight-hour surgery. Young had to stay in the hospital and go through therapy for a long time after the surgery before he could go back to his home in Jacksonville.
