Microsoft is Expected to Release Its First Real “Ai PCs” With Its Upcoming Surface Laptops!

Windows Central reports that Microsoft is preparing to update its Surface series with new features enabled by artificial intelligence. A next-gen neural processing unit (NPU), along with Intel and Arm-based choices, will be included in the next Surface Pro 10 and Surface Laptop 6, according to unnamed individuals who spoke with the site.

The latest Snapdragon X CPUs from Qualcomm will be used by Microsoft in its Arm-based devices, according to Windows Central. Microsoft is allegedly planning to include artificial intelligence capabilities into a future Windows release, and these computers, codenamed CADMUS, will be built to handle them.

Windows Central reports that these updates will also provide security, battery life, and performance enhancements comparable to Apple’s silicon. At the same time, the gadgets powered by Intel are said to come equipped with the company’s most recent 14th-generation processors.

Reportedly, the Surface Pro 10 will include improved internals, an anti-glare coating, a brighter display with HDR capability, and a choice of 2160 x 1440 or 2880 x 1920 resolutions.

Microsoft’s next Surface laptops

According to Windows Central, it might support a new Type Cover that opens Windows Copilot and have rounded sides, similar to the Microsoft Surface Laptop Studio family.

Reportedly, Windows Central has learned that the smaller Surface Laptop 6 model will have a somewhat larger 13.8-inch display, up from the 13.5-inch panel on the Surface Laptop 5, while the larger 15-inch model will retain its current dimensions.

Reportedly, the tablet will have a bezel-less, circular display, similar to the Surface Pro 10. According to Windows Central, it may also feature a plethora of new ports, like as two USB-C, one USB-A, and a Surface Connect charging port.

There have been rumors that the device will have a Windows Copilot button on the keyboard and a haptic touchpad.

Sometime in the new year, Microsoft is likely to unveil the Surface Pro 10 and Surface Laptop 6. According to Windows Central, a new Surface Laptop Studio and a more substantial redesign of the Surface Pro might be unveiled in 2025.
