Agreement Between Xbox And Toys For Bob
After splitting up with Microsoft last month, Toys for Bob is said to have signed a deal with the company. Windows Central says that the studio has completed a deal with Xbox that will pay for its next game as an independent company.
In a post on its website in February, the company that made Crash Bandicoot and Spyro made it clear that it was looking into “a possible partnership” with its old parent company.

“While we’re in the early days of developing our next game and a ways away from making any announcements, our team is excited to develop new stories, new characters, and new gameplay experiences,” said studio managers Paul Yan and Avery Lodato.
“Our friends at Activision and Microsoft have been extremely supportive of our new direction and we’re confident that we will continue to work closely together as part of our future.”
News outlets have asked Toys for Bob and Microsoft for more information. Following 87 layoffs at the studio as part of Microsoft’s January cutbacks, which also saw the closing of its physical location in San Francisco, Toys for Bob decided to go independent.
